My husband Jim and I have been residents of Berkeley Heights since 1992. We have four children, one in high school and three in elementary school. We have been pool members since 1993 and enjoy spending the summer here. My children have been involved with the swim team form over six years. I worked for 16 years in Human Resources before staying home to raise our children. I have worked part-time at the Berkeley Heights YMCA for nine years, and have worked in the Berkeley Heights school district for three years as an aide and substitute teacher.
I have been on the Pool Board since 2007. This year begins my term as President of the Board of Trustees. I am happy to hear your suggestions as what we can do to make the Berkeley Heights Community Pool the place to be each summer.

I have lived in Berkeley Heights for almost 13 years and have been a member of the Berkeley Heights Community Pool since my now teenage daughter was 3 years old. I have an M.B.A. in Marketing and I hold an International Business Certificate. Since my tenure in Berkeley Heights I have devoted my time to many not for profit organizations (like our community pool) such as the BH PTO, the Columbia PTO, the Hughes PTO, the Newcomers Club of Summit, Berkeley Heights and New Providence, the BH PAL, the Superintendent of Schools Communications and Referendum Committees, the Taxpayers for Education, the Rebels Lacrosse Advisory Committee and the American Cancer Society. I have served on many pool committees over the past several years and look forward to a fantastic summer season in 2010.

Member since 2002
My husband and I relocated to Berkeley Heights from North Carolina and one of the first things I did was find the community pool to join.
Since we joined in 2002 we have had 4 children use the kiddie pool, learn to swim, take lessons, and swim on the swim team.
I grew up with the community pool being my only summer activity from swim team to social nights.
When I was asked to join the Board I did not hesitate to say yes.
I am happy to spend time making our pool a fun and safe place for families in Berkeley Heights.
I worked for over 10 years in Financial Reporting and in Investor Relations and most recently I have worked for several non-profits in various capacities.
I think I can add value to several committees.
I am a "warm weather" person so if you want to talk summer give me a shout!

Born and raised in Berkeley Heights, I literally grew up at The Community Pool! I am an Application Developer / Intranet Manager for Veritext in Florham Park, NJ. I also had a side business for 4 years setting up and fixing computers and networks. My wife Nicole and I joined the pool when our oldest Son Michael was 2 yrs. old, about 13 yrs. ago. About 2 to 3 yrs. ago the board approached me about joining thier team to assist with all computer related issues. Besides the computer committee I am also on the personel committee, the facilities committee, and some committee I don't even know about yet. If you want to share any ideas, comments, concerns, please feel free to come say hi when you see me and let me know what is on your mind.

I'm Director of Manufacturing Strategy at Merck & Co., Inc.
I work out of HQ in Whitehouse Station, NJ and have been with them for 18yrs.
My wife Karen and I moved to Berkeley Heights in 1998 and have been pool members since 2005, enjoying the pool with our children, Sarah, Amanda, and Kyra.
We joined the pool because it was a great way to spend time with friends and meet new people from the community.
Now our oldest girls have really enjoyed the swim team the last two years.
About a year ago, I was approached by some members of the board and told there might be an opportunity to join.
I thought it would be a good way to make a contribution to something our family enjoys so much.
As this is my first year, I will be participating on a few committees, hopefully including Activities and Communications.
I look forward to working on the board and welcome any comments or suggestions for helping to make the BHCP fun and enjoyable.
